This holiday season can be so many different things to different people and cultures;
Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Christmas, Candlemass, Winter Solstice, Yule.
Being Pagan the holiday is Yule and the Winter Solstice for me. A time when the sun once again begins to regain its heat, light begins to win back its time, and mid winter is upon us. It is also the time to fellowship with family and friends and to begin working/praying/concentrating on the things you wish to bring forth in your life.
As the Sun God is reborn and the Wheel turns Mother Nature once again lends her energies to us so that we may tune in and bring forth new ideas, strengths and influences into our lives and world.
I respect and honor all cultures and peoples practices during this Sabbat and I greatly admire the rich diversity this season has to offer. I am continuously aware of the fact that though peoples paths differ, our perserverance and love of holiday traditions, and rituals offers a common bond throughout the world.
I ask you that we, as riders of this huge rock spinning through space that we call Earth, respect all traditions over the Holiday seasons. Spread joy, love and peace. Remember our path doesn’t have to be the path of others. We came into the world as indiviuduals so its common sense that our idealogies and holiday names, practices and beliefs will be diverse to say the least.
Please feel free to take time to shout out in the comments section and let me…us…know how YOU celebrate and acknowledge this time if year.
Brightest Blessings to you all!!!
